I needed warning cpu has been changed please re-enter-cpu setting in the cmos to put a new power supply in my computer. If I click cmos checksum error on F1 it brings me to my desktop but says I need to restore desktop, but it will not allow me to. I have tried everything to get into the setup, but have no idea how. Normally you should also be able to press F2 to continue to load Windows. Try that and see if it goes forward. fluxcage 7 September 2008 10:47:39 When this has happened to me, I went into the BIOS (usually by pushing the "del" key while booting, may be a different key on some systems). Hopefully the BIOS re-detects your hardware OK and all you have to do is save then quit the BIOS (or quit after saving).
