If that code was changed, that would be why you aren't able to access it.Your best bet is to enable address 3 using the working 6160 keypad. Enter programming and press *189 then 1110. It should beep and you can then press *99 to exit programming. Now with address 3 enabled, the 6280 should be able to connect to the system and your normal installer code will give you full access into the 6280 CS setup. The problem I am having is my third keypad, the 6820 touchscreen (only touch screen I have). I know from reading the manual that the 6820 and the VAM both are assigned ECP address separate from the normal keypads. The Vista 20p has addresses 1,2,5,6 set aside for touchscreens and other add-ons. The 6820 keeps getting a ECP error. It doesn't matter if I have it assigned to ECP 1 or 2 (both active by default on the 20p panel), the keypad still shows the error. Now the VAM works perfectly. I had the VAM assigned to address 2. I tried switching the 6820 & VAM ECP'S and the keypad still had errors while the VAM worked fine on both ECP 1 or 2.Any idea what the issue is or what to do ? I only have one AUI device and set *189 to 1,0,0,0. The keypad is set up as #17, #16 is a 6160 I'm using to program. How does it know that #17 is the 6270? I didn't enter that anywhere. How can I make sure that I set the 6270 is set as #17. I tried holding down 1,and honeywell security ecp 3 on the screen, but that didn't work. Also when going to the keypad screen it says open circut at the top. This is as far as I got with the system. Ther other two keypads (6160,6150) seem to be ok. Thanks Sponsored Links 12-24-06,12:01 PM #2 Chet S Member Join Date Mar 2006 Posts 13 error fixed, still have question I got the ECP error to go away by setting the ecp to 1. I had it set to 17, thinking this is what I have the *191 setting for. How does the panel know that this unit is reperesented as #17 in the programing, by defult because I entered a number in the other two keypads #16 and #18 (6150,6160)? 12-24-06,01:06 PM #3 MrRonFL Forum Topic Moderator Join Date Jun 2000 State FL Posts 14,345 You are mixing up the two types of keypads. The graphic keypads are setup in a different register than the conventional keypads. Setup properly, you should have one conventional set to address 16, one conventional set to address 17, and the graphic keypad set to address 1. It's a little confusing; but the point is that those graphic keypads have their own setup independant of the conventional keypads. "Ask the Right Question..." - from _The Snow Queen_ by Joan D.
