Can anyone help me to fix this please? 0 Advertisements #2 piper Posted 16 January 2007 - 11:46 AM piper Retired Staff Retired Staff 2,459 posts Please provide the full error text. Check the Event Viewer (Control http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/topic/145427-error-2349/ Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer) for additional information. If you find an error from MSInstaller specific to the failed install for Project, you can copy the text (there's a copy icon below the down arrow) and paste it in this thread. Confirm your Windows User Account is in the Administrator Group. Confirm whether your Office XP Suite includes Project - in other words, is this an upgrade for Project? Is your CD drive a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM? I've seen some compatibility issues with DVD-ROM drives not reading the CDs properly or vice-versa. The fix is the copy the CD contents to the hard drive and run the setup from there. Disable your antivirus software before trying the install. Another possibility is a dirty or damaged disk. Try cleaning the disk with a soft, lint-free cloth. If the disk appears to be scratched, you can order replacement media from Microsoft at (800) 360-7561. Zetterholm | Forum Activity | Posted: Tue, Jul 2 2013 5:27 PM When starting Logos today it said there was an update and did I want it to install. I say yes and it begins, but after "getting the required information" the following error dialogue displays: "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2349.". Can someone point me to previous discussion of this error or help me install. I have a Lenovo Thinkkpad with 8GB Intel I9 running Windows 7 professional. I imagine that somewhere along the line I may have get logs, but wanted to see if maybe there was a known "quick fix" before I get involved with logs. Thanks for your help. Seehttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa372835(v=vs.85).aspx From somewhere else on the web, I found that it "can be caused either by a corrupted installer file or insufficient disk space on your c: drive. Please check the free space on your hard drive, then try downloading another copy from the web site." If you've got plenty of disk space, try running the install program again directly from here:http://downloads.logos.com/LBS5/Installer/LogosSetup.exe If that doesn't work, you might need to uninstall the partially installed bits of the program and then reinstall. Or you could try going into the Control Panel, under Programs and Features, find Logos and click "Repair". If none of these things help, another solution I found on the web is "Ensure that you are logged in with administrative rights on your Windows system." I went step by step and ended up re-installing from scratch. But that worked. The only drawback was that it updated my entire library. So now I can't use the update column to keep track of my orders.
