Fuser Error 50.3
be remedied by removing the toner cartridge and pulling the paper out through there. Am I getting the error because of the paper jam? If so, how do I stop getting paper jams? I've installed a maintenance repair kit but it doesn't seem to help with the jams. Does that spray stuff sold on this website help? We have a repair guy who sprays our rollers with something that usually seems to do the trick (for a while anyway) but I don't want to pay him all the time to come out and spray our rollers! Please HELP! Respond to this 1 If http://printerrepairsupport.com/50-3-fuser-error-hp-4240-4250-4350/ you want to save a few bucks, I can supply you with just the heater portion of the fuser and an instructional video to replace it. It's real easy and you probably don't even need the video. The heater is what fails and gives the error, so you don't have to replace the whole expensive fuser or maintenance kit. Are you no longer selling??? - greybeards 0 50.3 has nothing top do with jams.DO not use "spray stuff" on the rollers. For black rubber rollers use:http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/specials/misc/chemicals/S03For gray rubber rollers take the roller out of the machine and wash it with soap and water, (whatever you use on your hands or dishes). The jam error code would help, jam codes always start with 13.Did the 50.3 error start before or after you installed the maintenance kit?Seems like you might need a different repair guy. by Stephen on Mar 14, 2007 at 6:35am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Thanks for the information. The fuser error started about 3 months after I installed the kit. by aeon33 on Mar 14, 2007 at 12:26pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Then the fuser you installed failed. Was the kit bought from HP, or was it an aftermarket rebuild? by Stephen on Mar 14, 2007 at 3:35pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I have seen that 50.3 error a couple of times where it actually picks up the paper and starts it moving and then the 50.3 comes on and the paper is stuck jus

While not the most common error it still happens on occasion. Before you start replacing the fusing unit, RM1-4554-000CN, for the 50.3 fuser error it's best to try a few things that might resolve the problem without replacement. HP P4014, 4015, 4515 Fusing Assembly RM1-4554 CB506-67901 Troubleshooting the 50.3 Fuser Error in the HP Laserjet P4014, P4015, P4510 PrinterGiven the 50.3 fuser error is a high temperature error the first thing to try is to turn the machine off and let it sit for 10 minutes to let it cool down then turn back on. Next step is to unplug the power cable and remove and reseat the fusing assembly by following the instructions below. At this point you might want to visibly inspect the fuser for any obvious damage to the gears, fuser film, or pressure roller. Finally, unplug the machine and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes. This allows the machine to totally cool down and by having the power unplugged lets the capacitors on the power supply to discharge. Any error codes the might get stuck insides the machines memory will have a chance to clear and upon start-up it will go through the normal warm up procedure. Other things that can cause high temperature errors is the fuser mode settings. Make sure the mode is right for the paper being used. Having the fuser mode set to High 2 on plain paper can cause premature fuser wear and high temp problems. Also the environment or having the main cooling fan blocked can result in high temperature problems inside the machine. Check your manual for correct environment temperatures and verify the left side of the machine is clear from obstructions. The fan is on this site and can get blocked by file folders or
