I have executes all of the axis calibrations and I get 0021 and have tries other service calibration according yo the manual does this have any thing to with the lens cover assembley or the encoder strip? If not you may need to try a printhead recovery for that color. Otherwise, replace the problem printhead. I think this is more of a printhead problem as opposed to an alignment problem. NB. if you get hp designjet air in the tube system you can recover, then replace the printhead. Serviced printer, replaced Line Sensor and Tube System with new parts. Customer called me to get the printer up and running due to deadline on job and had no yellow printhead, so found a solution by using one of the other printhead colours! hp designjet 5500 I used light magenta in this case which was still in good condition. The way we used this on the yellow was to take off the tabs which let you insert the light magenta into the yellow channel, took the chip strip information from the yellow printhead which is located at the back of the printhead just above the connector strip, this is stuck on with double sided tape, just please take care to take it off then fit it to the other printhead. When you fit into printer you will find that when printing yellow you will get the wrong colour in this case we got light magenta! printed about 10 meters of yellow and the light magenta changed from that to yellow. Called customer following day to check if the job got out on time?
