Hi,Just to clarify, are you getting the following message at startup:HP Toolbox FX has encountered an error and cannot recover...Regards Ask Your Own Computer Question Customer: replied7 years ago. I believe that is the beginning of the message. It is much longer than that. I would have to reboot to get you the exact message. Expert: Barun replied7 years ago. Thank you, XXXXX XXXXX do ..now, you can carry out either of the following steps in order to resolve the issue:- Uninstall the printer driver and reinstall the latest version of the same.- Since you do not need the HP Toolbox for the printer to function all right, you may disable it from trying to run at startup accordingly.Let me know which one do you prefer, so that I can follow up further on the same.Regards Ask Your Own Computer Question Customer: replied7 years ago. I think I would rather uninstall the driver and reinstall the latest version but I thought I had it. Maybe not. Expert: Barun replied7 years ago. Okay ..before that, are you using an USB cable to connect the printer to your system?Regards Ask Your Own Computer Question Customer: replied7 years ago. Yes. Expert: Barun replied7 years ago. Okay ..first off, let's try restoring the default settings for the printer and check if it resolves the issue, as follows:On the control panel of the printer, press the 'Menu' button, then navigate to Main Menu > Service > Restore Defaults, and press ENTER. Done that, wait for the printer to initialize and come to 'Ready', then restart and check if the issue still persists.Let me know how you get on.Regards Ask Your Own Computer Question Customer: replied7 years ago.
