I experienced this error message on 3 laptops out of the over 32 laptops on which I installed the client of SAP Business One on. The error message actually displays internal error 1102 when you attempt to log on or connect to the server via the client machine especially when your SAP Business One system runs on Microsoft SQL Server 2005. The first thing I did was to try and test connectivity to the database by setting up ODBC. That I achieved, because I was able to establish connection to the production database but I still could not connect from within SAP Business One Client. My observation was that the SQL Native Client driver was not installed on the machine. How did I know this? I followed this path: Start > Control Panel > Administrative tools > Data Sources (ODBC)...In the System DNS tab, choose Add...from the list of drivers to set up data source, there was no SQL Native Client there. Although I saw for SQL Server 2000, SQL Native Client was not there. What is Microsoft SQL Server Native Client (SQL Native Client)? Microsoft SQL Server Native Client (SQL Native Client) is a single dynamic-link library (DLL) containing both the SQL OLE DB provider and SQL ODBC driver. It contains run-time support for applications using native-code APIs (ODBC, OLE DB and ADO) to connect to Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, 2000 or 2005. SQL Native Client should be used to create new
