SOLVED: Juniper nc.window.app.23971 Network Connect Error Jan 2012 Posted by Ian Matthews+ in Other Technologies, Windows Server | 2 nc.windows.app.23793 juniper comments Users found this error connecting to a Juniper Mag2600 and binging and googling this error only brought up semi useless items like: check personal firewall install windows patch for loopback nc.windows.app.23704 fix ip-address issue (which appears to relate to Windows XP) unmark automatic proxy settings in the Browser I checked the Mag and found all well, the configuration seemed ok and I found not specific errors so I called JTAC, and as usual the tech nailed the problem in just a few minutes by telling me that "…23971 errors in Network Connect almost always

relate to DHCP problems…". Often this is network configuration issues so you end up with help forum comments like: When you have two overlapping IP pools in your profiles, you can get users stepping on each others addresses. If pool #1 is trying to assign an IP to a client, but that IP is in use because it was assigned out of pool #2, you will see this error. In my case, the problem was much more simple, I checked the Windows DHCP server and found it was out of addresses! I made a few quick adjustments and bingo all is now well. As stated in my case the problem was a simple lack of DHCP Addresses. Please provide more detail. Reply Leave a Reply Click here to cancel reply. Name * Email * Website Comment Add Comment N

Solved The secure gateway denied the connection request from this client (nc.windows.app.23791) Posted on 2010-05-16 VPN SSL / HTTPS Hardware Firewalls 1 Verified Solution 12 Comments 13,690 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-21 http://www.urtech.ca/2012/01/solved-juniper-nc-window-app-23971-network-connect-error/ I am preparing our juniper SA4000 SSL VPN device for use in production and I am having a few problems. I'm getting the stated error message when a client uses Network Connect to try and obtain a network address from an internal DHCP server. I receive this message when I tell the SA4000 device to use our internal DHCP server to give clients an IP address. If I still the SA4000 a https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26189927/The-secure-gateway-denied-the-connection-request-from-this-client-nc-windows-app-23791.html range of IP addresses (acts as it's own dhcp server) then clients are able to connect but can't get to any internal resourses and can't browse out to the internet. From the SA4000 device I can ping the DHCP server so i'm a bit confused on what is causing this problem. The VPN appliance is behind a firewall but I have verifed that all ports that are needed are enabled. The first problem I need help fixing is just getting clients to pick up an IP address from our DHCP server. Please help me as soon as possbile with this. 0 Question by:justin0104 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google Best Solution byjustin0104 I don't have any VPN clients on the computers that are trying to connect. I have also removed the NC utility and reinstalled it. The version of IVE is 6.2 (latest version). Arguably Maintenance - System - Platform - Node Operations - Reboot would do the trick as well, but it would definitely take longer since you would have to wait for the appliance to run hardware checks and start the OS.
